Sitting here at the airport waiting for our next flight, I’m reflecting on the joys of the latest leg of our trip.
The hospitality we’ve encountered in Northern Thailand has been overwhelming! The people are so friendly and welcoming. Even the hair-raising tuk-tuk ride was exhilarating! Oh, and the food is absolutely wonderful.

It’s not all fun and sightseeing. We’ve been hard at work searching out the best, most stunning jewellery to bring back. My good friend Rita has made some incredible sterling silver rings and Areeya makes the most gorgeous necklaces.
Right now, we’re off to Isaan to talk silk.
